Built by Honda in Brazil, the Sahara replaced the XLX 350R as a road-biased trail bike with an air-cooled RFVC single, electric start and a small fairing for highway comfort. It suited Brazil's mix of long road distances and unpaved tracks, and the Brazilian ROCAM police motorcycle patrols used it from 1994. The NX-4 Falcon took over in 1999.
